Common questions

Yes. You can add a child and log records without signing in, and everything stays on your iPhone. Signing in is what adds cloud sync and family sharing.

Care records, attachments, and Chat history are on your iPhone, protected by Apple device data protection and file encryption. If your family uses cloud sync, that family’s records and attachments are also kept in our cloud so everyone’s devices show the same day; Chat history is never uploaded. If the app crashes, we use a GDPR-compliant third-party performance tool (Sentry) for necessary, scrubbed diagnostics. When you tap Send in Chat, that message is sent directly to a GDPR-compliant LLM service provider; depending on your region and service availability, that provider may be OpenAI or DeepSeek. If Chat needs local records to answer, only a limited, redacted projection is included, not raw records, the full database, or attachments.

Yes, with Plus. You invite them with a single-use code that works for 24 hours; they install Bear Days, sign in, and enter it. A family holds up to four people, everyone sees the same children and records, and you can remove a member or cancel an unused code at any time.

Yes. If your family uses cloud sync, sign in on the new iPhone and your family’s records come back. Without sync, iOS device transfer can move Bear Days data to a new iPhone. If you feel unsure before switching devices, write to us.

Yes. Core care logging is free and stays on your iPhone. Bear Days Plus adds cloud sync across devices, sharing with the people who care for your child, and higher child, checklist, attachment, and Chat limits.

Absolutely. Bugs, questions, ideas, or care moments you wish Bear Days understood better can all go to [email protected]. Thank you for telling us. We read these notes carefully and use them to make Bear Days better.
