Acceptance

By installing or using the Bear Days iOS app, or by using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or the website.

License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the iOS app on Apple devices you own or control. The license is for personal, non-commercial use and is subject to Apple’s App Store Terms of Service.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source of the app beyond what is permitted by applicable law.
• Use the app to generate or store content that violates law, harms others, or violates the rights of third parties.

Medical disclaimer

Bear Days is a record-keeping and reference tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified clinician before making medical decisions about your child.

Accounts and family sharing

You can use the app without an account. If you sign in, you are responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure and for deciding who you invite into your family.

A family is invite-only and holds up to four people. Everyone in a family can see and add to that family's children and records, so invite only the people you want to have that access. Invitations are single-use codes that stop working after 24 hours.

The person who creates a family owns it. They can remove members, and deleting a family permanently deletes the children, records, and attachments in it for everyone in that family.

Only add records or information about a child you are the guardian of, or are authorized to record and to share with the people you invite.

Bear Days Plus

Bear Days Plus is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store and billed to your Apple ID. It adds cloud sync across devices and family sharing, along with higher in-app limits.

Whether a family syncs follows the subscription of the person who owns that family; the other members do not need their own subscription.

Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple ID subscription settings. Current prices are shown in the app before you buy, and payment, refunds, and cancellation are handled by Apple under the App Store Terms of Service.

If a subscription ends, cloud sync stops and the app keeps working on the device. Records already on the device are not deleted.

Your data

Care records are kept on your device. They are also kept in our cloud service while you are signed in and your family's sync is active, so your family's devices stay in step. You can delete records, a whole family, or your account from inside the app. See the Privacy Policy for details about local storage, accounts and family sharing, photo selection, Chat, dictation, and model providers.

Disclaimers

The app and the website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, except where prohibited by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app or website.

Changes

We may update these Terms over time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app or website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
